United Fresh Partners with The Burnt Chef Project to Champion Mental Health in Hospitality
At United Fresh, we are proud to announce our partnership with The Burnt Chef Project! You probably already know them, but if you don’t, let us introduce you.
The Burnt Chef Project are a vital initiative that’s working to end the stigma surrounding mental health in the hospitality industry. The Project was founded to create a healthier, more supportive environment for hospitality workers and to end the stigma around mental health in the industry – a mission we wholeheartedly support.
“1 in 4 adults are reported to experience a mental health problem in any given year.
However, multiple reports show that hospitality professionals are more at risk than the national average with 4 out of 5 experiencing high levels of stress and mental illness”
– The Burnt Chef Project
As suppliers into the UK’s foodservice sector, we see firsthand the passion and dedication that fuels this industry. But we also know the pressures that come with it. This partnership allows us to give back, raising awareness and providing resources that can make a meaningful difference to those we encounter in the industry we adore.
The Burnt Chef Project offers tools, resources, and training to promote mental health awareness, creating a culture of openness and support. By joining forces, we aim to help those who work tirelessly to create the magical experience of eating good food, including those outside the restaurant.
This partnership reflects our commitment to not just food excellence, but to the well-being of everyone in the industry. Together with The Burnt Chef Project, we’re working to create a healthier, more sustainable future for hospitality.
